Job Description
The Royal is a neighborhood gathering place in Washington, DC s growing Ledroit Park neighborhood. A coffee shop and lunch spot by day, and an intimate bar and grill by night, The Royal is a unique all-day destination. The Royal has been recognized Michelin with Bib Gourmand and Plate recognitions since since 2017. The Royal was also awarded Cocktail Program of the Year last year by Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington; and Casual Restaurant of the Year, the year prior.
We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. The successful candidate will be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages. Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks. Assess customers needs and preferences; and make recommendations. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails. Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. Nurture an excellent guest experience. Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

Requirements
Proven working experience as a bartender. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks. Computer literacy. Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
